Privacy Policy

Dahun Villas (“we”, “us”) runs a small guesthouse at Barangay Malinao, Tourism Road, General Luna, Siargao Island. This policy explains what personal information we receive through this website and when you book or stay with us, and how we use it. We follow the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
What this website collects
This website has no user accounts and no advertising trackers. When you send the request form on the Contact page, your name, contact details, dates, number of guests and any notes are emailed to us so we can reply; the site itself does not keep a copy. If you prefer, the same request can be sent through WhatsApp instead.
To see how many people visit and which pages they read, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites and only gives us aggregated numbers such as page views, countries and page load speed.
Information you share with us
When you message, call or book, we may receive:
- your name, phone number, email address and messaging handle;
- travel dates, number of guests, flight details for transfers;
- identification details we are required to record at check-in;
- payment details, which are handled by the booking or payment provider.
How we use it
- to answer your questions and confirm availability;
- to manage your booking, check-in and stay;
- to arrange tours, rentals and airport transfers you ask for;
- to meet legal, tax and guest-registration requirements.
Third-party services
Some parts of the site are provided by other companies with their own privacy policies:
- the website is hosted by Cloudflare, which also delivers request-form emails and provides visitor statistics;
- online booking is processed by Cloudbeds;
- messages go through WhatsApp (Meta);
- the map on the Location page is embedded from Google Maps;
- our Instagram and Facebook pages are run by Meta.
We share your details with tour, transport or rental partners only when you ask us to arrange something with them, and only what they need to provide it.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and guest records for as long as the law requires and delete or anonymise them after that. Message history that is no longer needed is deleted.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. You can also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines.
